Tribute to the music and humour of
Dr Hook and the Medicine Show
In 2006 three professional entertainers who have been in showbiz for more years than they care to remember (!) decided to get together and form a tribute band. Not just any tribute as this was paying homage to the music and humour of one of the most prolific bands of the 70s and 80s - DR HOOK.
They did it for three reasons -firstly being great admirers of this band. Secondly - after jamming together on a number of occasions they found that their voices blended creating a great harmony sound. Thirdly - they were itching to get out on the road and work together!
With two of the guys having performed in a well known comedy/vocal act for over two decades performing all over the UK and the third being an established guitar vocalist they decided to get back to their first love of creating music being that they were all musicians having started their careers in various bands in the late 60s and early 70s.

Completely Hooked consists Bass, Keyboards & Guitar all played live and enhanced with up to the minute technology i.e.: seq drums, string and brass lines, helping them to create a terrific sound with great harmonies. Coupled with the well known stage antics and fun side of the original Dr Hook, this show is a must for fans of this multi-million record selling group. They feature many of the big hits such as:

They usually perform an hour (+ inevitable encores!) of the Completely Hooked act as well as covering the whole night with a second music spot if required. This different set offers a massive repertoire of classic hits across the decades mixed with a few laughs as well so providing good value with no support acts needed - background music is also supplied for any breaks as required.
Combining their experience, great sound, show stopping harmonies and off the wall DR HOOK type humour guarantees a night to remember!

We had a great evening with Completely Hooked.The band were very professional in their performance and the sound quality was second to none with extremely clear vocals and good music creating a wonderful atmosphere.
